About Dre

About Dre

Before members evaluate Dre as a candidate, he wants them to know the person, the family man, the veteran, and the union advocate behind the campaign.

Biography

A life built around family, service, and showing up for people

Dre is, first and foremost, a husband, Army veteran, outdoorsman, and horseman. He and his wife, Jessica, have built a life together over nearly three decades, and that foundation of loyalty, resilience, and shared purpose continues to shape how he leads.

Away from work and union business, he feels most at home around horses, on the land, at a rodeo, around a grill, or spending time with friends and family. The Western way of life means something to him because it reflects the values he tries to live every day: work hard, keep your word, take care of your people, and help when help is needed.

Dre’s military service remains a lasting part of who he is. He is proud of his time in the Army National Guard, but he is just as proud of continuing to serve veterans and first responders long after taking off the uniform.

For more than a decade, he has helped support clinics, retreats, shooting events, fundraisers, and other gatherings that bring people together. To him, those events matter because of what happens around them: the conversations, the support, the laughter, and the reminder that no one has to carry everything alone.

He has always believed that if you have relationships, resources, experience, or simply the ability to help, you should use them. Dre does not need credit for that work. He believes good people should take care of good people, and he believes trust should always be honored.

Biography

Professional and union experience rooted in the work

Dre’s campaign is backed by long-standing hands-on leadership experience. He has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President at ABQ Tower/Tracon, and he is currently serving as DFW Tower President, with eight total years in that role.

His union work has extended well beyond the local level. He has served on the Southwest Region LR Team, as the Southwest Region Onboarding Rep, and as the Southwest Region Training Lead. He also served as an observer during the Slate Book contract negotiations and as a member of the 3120.4 National Training Order rewrite collaborative workgroup.

That work has been reinforced by a strong training background. Dre has completed Secretary/Treasurer Training, Basic Rep Training, Advanced Rep Training, RT-1, NATCA Train the Trainer, NATCA Media Training, Training Review Board Training, and L.E.A.P. Training. He has also taught Basic Rep Training, RT-1, and Training Review Board Training.

Biography

The kind of campaign he wants to run

This campaign is centered on openness, respect, and member engagement. Dre wants members to ask the hard questions, challenge assumptions, and expect real answers.

He also believes the Southwest deserves a campaign that stays focused on issues rather than theatrics. That does not mean backing away from difficult conversations. It means answering them directly, honestly, and without turning the campaign into a sideshow.

Before members get to know Dre as a candidate for Southwest Regional Vice President, he hopes they also get to know him simply as Andreas — or Dre — a person who believes in family, loyalty, service, friendship, and doing right by the people who place their trust in you.
